Crack Sealing

The most common reason for asphalt deterioration, cracks and potholes is water penetration. Cracks in your asphalt allow water to penetrate beneath the surface to the base. Fluctuating temperatures expand and contract the water straining existing cracks and producing new ones. Ascrete’s team seals your cracks with hot rubberized asphalt to prevent further cracking, and dramatically extend the life of your asphalt.

Liquid Asphalt (cutback)

Is the catalyst used in the manufacturing of your asphalt driveway or lot. Liquid Asphalt penetrates and re-moisturizes your asphalt bringing it back to it’s intended condition. Putting oil back into your Asphalt dramatically decreases fractures and cracking all while preventing further oxidation, frost & sun damage by filling in hairline cracks in the pavement’s surface, Essentially increasing the longevity of your Asphalt, avoiding costly repairs and repaves. We spray an even heavy coat of Liquid Asphalt for maximum penetration and protection. Aesthetically bringing your asphalt back to its original deep earthy rich black. This also aids in the melting of snow or ice.

Fresh Paves

It is recommended to have your freshly paved asphalt, seal coated with Liquid Asphalt. This should be within the first 2 years of being paved.  Once your freshly paved asphalt driveway becomes dry or ashy (see photo above) then it is time to put liquid asphalt back into your investment. Liquid Asphalt is an essential part of maintaining your driveway or lot. Spraying liquid asphalt rejuvenates and gives the asphalt life again. It is literally the lifeblood of your asphalt. Because it’s asphalt. Let's face it paving a driveway is not cheap. Protecting your investment by seal coating it with liquid asphalt is the smart way to avoid costly repairs and re-paves in the future.

How Long Does it Last?

When your Asphalt becomes dry and ashy, then it is time to re-seal coat your driveway with Liquid Asphalt. With regular maintenance the product lasts up to 5 years. However if your driveway has never been seal coated it will be thirsty and could be 3-4 years to re-seal your Asphalt.. Then it should be every 5-6 years. This is completely dependent on weather. Extreme weather, attacks and erodes Asphalt.

Moss Tip

 Spray moss with - 40% Bleach & 60% Water.

Apply on a sunny day. Moss will turn black and die.

Repeat when needed. Adjust your mixture to your individual circumstance. Adding a small amount of detergent can also aid.

Is Moss bad for Asphalt?

Due to the sponge-like nature of moss, It holds moisture against the surface and may cause the asphalt to break down prematurely. If growing in small cracks and crevices on the surface of your driveway. It is generally suggested to prevent and remove all plant life from any driveway surface. Regular maintenance and Seal coating with Liquid Asphalt will keep moss at bay.

MADE IN CANADA - UNAVAILABLE IN STORES -  FULLY APPROVED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA

This is LIQUID ASPHALT in case I haven't been clear. This product saves your existing asphalt.

This product eliminates costly re-paves which create a massive carbon footprint.

Consider the amount of energy consumed and emissions produced from the production of 1 ton of asphalt. Then consider the amount of energy consumed and emissions produced from transportation and re-paving that same asphalt.

Unless walking is your only source of transportation then you rely on asphalt every day of your life.

Maintaining asphalt with a product that actually works and is meant for asphalt is the best way to SAVE MONEY.

All while eliminating the carbon footprint of re-paving.

Emulsion/Acrylic "AIRPORT GRADE" Vs. Liquid Asphalt

Water based, box store sealants are not sealants at all.

They are coatings, essentially acrylic paint. Which needs bi-yearly application and builds up layers that chip, flake and end up being more blueish gray rather than black. Requiring re-applying every two years. In some cases yearly.

LIQUID ASPHALT LASTS 3 TIMES LONGER.

ALWAYS DRIES MATTE.

Above is an example of "AIRPORT GRADE" retail crack sealer. This was applied 2 years ago. The result is an even deeper crack that now has a permanent ridge built up which makes snow removal a nightmare

AIRPORT GRADE Is a marketing term.

Acrylic or Emulsion coating actually is used at AIRPORT'S,

For this reason only,  Jet fuel can't penetrate it.

Emulsion/Acrylic Vs. Liquid Asphalt continued.

How is this an environmentally friendly product?

The amount of plastic containers the consumer repeatedly uses eliminates any conversation about being green. Those plastic containers will never be recycled.

Our product is MADE IN CANADA

and is shipped in 220L/55G steel drums.

Above is an example of

Acrylic Big Box store "driveway product"

This poor lady who's husband worked for a paving company explained "my husband used to do it but now that he has passed,

I keep up the work on a yearly schedule".

Acrylic or Emulsion is the wrong product Unless you have a private JET
